A size-inclusive denim brand that hugs every curve, the right way, is not so easy to come by. Many of us struggle with either the material, the style, or the fit. The ratings for Khloe Kardashian’s label Good American, launched in 2016, have been through the roof including nothing but positive feedback due to their size-inclusivity and revolutionary fit. Sizes range from 0-24, which now includes the new size, 15! This size has never been seen before. The plus size mark typically begins at size 16, leaving many individuals struggling to find the perfect fit between both the sizes 14 and 16. To break the cycle, Khloe and her team developed the in-between size of 15, launched earlier this month.
Plus size model Candice Huffine took to Good American’s Instagram to share her excitement. “I wore the best pair of jeans today. I am a new person after today because of the GOOD CURVE jean, let me just tell you. I never wanted to take them off. It is the most feel-good pair of denim I’d ever put on. You know that buying jeans is an event, not an event we often look forward to – a struggle,” and went on to say more about how amazing she felt in her new pair of jeans.
According to Good American, sizes 14 and 16 are at a 50 percent higher return rate than any other size. Co-founder, Emma Grede told BAZAAR.com over email, “My design team and I believe that the reason for this is that between size 14 and 16 we switch from using a ‘straight’ pattern to a ‘plus’ pattern. In the plus pattern, allowances are made for a totally different body type, which you might not necessarily need if you’re at the higher end of the straight sizes or the lower end of plus.”
We encourage those to whom this size may apply, take advantage of this headway. Styles include straight and flare, and we predict this jean size breakthrough to domino effect to every other denim line across the industry and we are excited to watch it all unfold. This could potentially lead to a dress, shirt, and skirt sizes
