With a soulful, husky voice that rivals Joss Stone and Colbie Caillat, and a unique mix of pop, rock and soul, JoAnna Lee is the perfect accompaniment for lazy, golden summer evenings.
Originally from a small town in Oregon, the American singer-songwriter is now based in Austin, Texas – a hot spot for music – where her music career took off. Lee’s soulful pop has struck a chord and she is enjoying the success – she supported Deep Purple at the Dubai International Music Festival and the music video for her debut single, The Real Thing, has surpassed 10,000 views on YouTube.
The Real Thing – a sweet, lush guitar-led tune about falling in love – is released on July 28th. The single is the first offering from Lee’s debut EP, So Free, which will be released on September 22nd. Lee will be visiting the UK in preparation for her single release this July and will be performing at the Apples and Pears Bar in London on the 26th.
