Lifestyle: Beauty Tips From The Models Of The World

Imagine having to get your makeup done everyday for your job! Okay, reading that back makes it seems not nearly as bad as it is supposed to, but okay let me rephrase, imagine having to coat your face in foundation multiple times a day! Yeah, that sounds a tad worse. Well, what I’m trying to say is that with wearing makeup everyday, models have to have a pretty good idea on how to keep their skin looking fresh and clear. So I thought we could look into some skin tips given by the models who really do know have to keep their faces blemish free!

Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner is one of the top names in the modelling game at the moment, and so she’s obviously getting booked for many many shoots which equally means lots and lots of makeup. Kendall has spoken about her struggle with acne in the past so I think it’s safe to say we can trust her for some secret skincare tips! Kendall has said before when she was 15 her older sister Kourtney told her to “never touch my face” which is pretty good advice if you ask me as touching your face is spreading lots of germs onto your skin (I’m actually very meticulous about me or anyone else touching my face!). Another tip she recently expressed is that an important part to keeping healthy skin is “drinking lots of water!” which I can definitely agree on.

Bella Hadid
Another of the most sought after models of the moment is Bella Hadid, who admits that constant travelling, shoots and makeup take a toll on her skin saying “It’s a lot of makeup and changing so my skin looks really bad”. So, to keep her skin glowing, the supermodel unsurprisingly admitted she turns to the beauty brand she fronts: she washes her face with Dior Homme face wash and then uses Dior’s Hydra Life moisturiser and the brand’s masks.

Joan Smalls
Victoria Secret model, Joan Smalls, has incredibly clear and radiant skin – so she must be doing something right! Smalls recently admitted her beauty secret is simply to moisturise (a lot) saying “Moisturise a lot. I do that throughout the day and it really, really helps”.

Jasmine Tokes
Yet another Victoria Secret model, because let’s be real, who do you really trust if you don’t trust a VS model??! Another lady with gorgeous and clear skin let us in on a beauty trick that includes ice, yes, ice! She said “I learned to ice my face right before going to bed from my mom’s dermatologist a long time ago and I’ve done it ever since. You take an ice cube and run it all over your face until it melts away and it leaves your pores really tight and your face really firm”.

Kaia Gerber
Kaia Gerber lucked out in the gene pool, but keeping her clear skin takes a few tricks and tips as she tells all that she uses tooth-paste and ice! Kaia explained that to get rid of spots she uses … “Toothpaste. Or ice. Icing it takes out the redness; toothpaste dries it out. I’m all about home remedies — I learn everything on the Internet.”

Hailey Baldwin
Hailey has got envious skin that always seems to look oh so glowy, so you would think she does hundreds of facials every day, right?! But no, Hailey admitted she stays well away from facials saying “I don’t like to do facials. I don’t like extractions.” she carries on to say “I’m cool with doing facials that are laser, but typically like to leave my skin alone and I go to the dermatologist just to have it checked.” Which sounds very sensible, because I guess it’s always safe to say a dermatologist knows what he’s doing!

Picked up any tips? I think I’m definitely going to have to try the ice one (thanks Kaia and Jasmine!) and I’ll carry on drinking plenty of water every day because that seems to be a permanent essential for every model!

Clear and blemish free skin, here I come!
